Mar 6 - Tervs. Everything was pretty good, but didn't do signal drop. Also, Laura said he moved after I left him on the signal stand, plus since I'd already flunked I didn't step out when she said Forward on the moving stand and got in an anticipation correction. Without signals, he'd only lost 4 points and some of that was the moving stand. Tried hard to hit fronts. Sigh. Worked some long go backs, signals, fronts and heeling starts.
Mar 5 - More fronts, heeling, glove turns.
Mar 4 - Fronts with Lance box, rewards for Yes and heads up starts.
Mar 2 - Norco. Utility runthru, other than off fronts on gloves and articles it was a nice run. Did extra heeling and stays.
Mar 1 - Wendy. Directed jumping, moving stand, gloves - need to work on fronts, articles, heeling, signals, agility.

Feb 28 - HRC test. Again did quite well except he crept on the marks even more than the day before. Second Seasoned leg.

Feb 27 - HRC test. Did very well. Need to work on land blinds into cover but otherwise quite clean for first Seasoned leg. Worked some heeling and moving stand in hotel.
Feb 25 - Prado. Water double with blind and bulldog, land walkup and blind, land singles with live pigeons.
Feb 21 - Santa Clara. Awful. I am hoping it is because he scarfed a bunch of DJ's kibble on Friday nite and wasn't feeling well. On glove #2 he turned to #1, then to #3 after correction; heeling was the worst he'd done in a very long time, and on 2nd directed jump he barfed some water and a bit of food so was excused.
Feb 20 - At show site - heeling, go backs over baby gates, moving stand, signals.
Feb 18 - Yorba. Did 2 tracks, last one ran out of ham for the last 15 or so steps but it didn't seem to phase him. Go back over baby gates, turn & sits with wire, one moving stand, signals, some very nice heeling, glove turns, 3 legged wagon wheel, long blinds, no-no drill.
Feb 17 - Tracked at park, heeling for a jackpot.
Feb 16 - Norco. Heeling in & out of ring, signals, go backs over baby gates, one moving stand, agility. Prado. Tracking with Kelly, land doubles with winger & hand thrown bumpers with blind, breaking single with double blind, long singles.
Feb 15 - Tracked on sidewalk and grass out front. Gave up HITT and started Koehler at Wendy. Go backs over baby gates, heeling, moving stand, signals, agility.
Feb 14 - Match. Novice was quite nice, he dropped his head a couple of times but otherwise great attention and heeling. Perfect stand for exam and recall. Treated during both heeling patterns rather than on halts. Did some go back to baby gates having him jump about 75% of the time to treat on other side, did a track 3 times in parking lot. Open was much later and warmer but still went well, but by Utility he was a little blah and wasn't trying as hard.
Feb 13 - Match. Utility - nice heeling, had attention 50%+ of the time, stopped while looking for first article - seemed like he thought he heard me say something, nice glove, beautiful moving stand and directed jumping. Open - even better heeling - warmed up by running to the ring showing him a hot dog, the rest was very nice.

Feb 12 - Tracking, wagon wheel, heeling, turns, moving stand, signal drop.
Feb 11 - Yorba. Heeling, signals, moving stand, one go back.
Feb 10 - Out front - heeling, signals. In house - abouts, faster signal drops, moving stands, faster turn & sit on go backs.
Feb 8 - Wendy. Agility, go backs, signals, directed jumping, moving stands, heeling.
Feb 7 - Match. Did Novice, first heeling was nice after some encouragement right at beginning, but second one he appeared bored except on halts. Probably need to break out while moving. Lovely front, didn't do finish. Utility was very nice except he moved as judge said Call Your Dog on moving stand. Heeling he wasn't highly attentive and cute the whole time but the heeling itself was nice except one wide about turn. Tryed hard on fronts, except glove. Open we did backwards, nice broad & front, poor retrieve over high jump front, nice retrieve on flat, bad drop on recall tho I said Front instead of Come and gave sort of a weird signal for the drop. Didn't do figure 8, wonderful heeling - broke out a couple of times for jackpots. Did a couple of agility runs working on distance handling.
Feb 6 - Agility. Only ran Standard as had to leave for vet. I told him to Go, he thought he heard No and pulled off jump like a good dog. Also totally missed weaves the first time, but by then he was also pretty nutzo. Listened well tho and handled at a distance. At home did some heeling out front working on turns, fronts and finishes inside.
Feb 5 - Fronts with and without something in his mouth working on heads up, heeling turns, signal down in place, moving stand.
Feb 4 - Yorba. Heeling working on me standing straight and footwork on turns, go backs, moving stand, signals, two grass tracks, staggered wagon wheel. Dana called heeling pattern and he gave attention almost right away - because no ring? At home worked on fronts with two rods and glove or dumbell, plus some very offset fronts.
Feb 2 - Norco. Robert called heeling in ring with me with obvious food. Started blah but perked up quickly and was forging & pushy. Need to keep shoulders straight when starting. Did go backs past pole, directed jumping, moving stand. Did two grass and one cement straight tracks, staggered wagon wheel and straight backs. Worked on footwork at home later on.
Feb 1 - Started HITT tracking with a straight track with close treats, then same one with further apart treats. Two serpentines with close treats, then experimented with a short straight one on grass, which worked the best. Wendy - agility, wagon wheel with white close, then black deeper and red deepest. Wendy called a heeling pattern in the tennis court with a faux soccer game going on in the other half. Worked on my posture, and his attention by stopping when he looked away and then big reaction when he reconnected.

Jan 31 - Prado. Land triple with Rick, winger and launcher. Rick's was an in throw and apparently he couldn't see it as he went way off to the side twice. Changed to flat throw, he was fine. Did two blinds off these marks and tho he would handle to them he just wouldn't do a good initial line. Medium water blind later. At home did some heads up fronts, new stand signal and backs to kibble.
Jan 30 - Rick called heeling out front, very nice. Also moving stand - he moved after stopping the first time then the next two were perfect.
Jan 29 - PetCo. Attention heeling - very nice, offered it most of the time, signals, moving stand, glove turns. Later did non-no to white pieces of paper with treats, fronts with head up and heeling turns.
Jan 28 - At home. Attention heeling, go backs, fronts working on him coming in with his head up.
Jan 27 - To park to do long backs and no-no drill. Worked no-no with paper towels and treats at home later. Did a bit of attention heeling in CVS parking lot.
Jan 26 - In house. Heeling, signals, one go back, fronts & finishes.
Jan 25 - Wendy. Heeling, gloves, signals, go backs and one directed jumping, moving stand, agility.
Jan 24 - Had a working spot in seminar today. During group heeling worked mostly on attention and attitude, revving him up before each one - did very well. Cranked up the excitement when he was doing it just right. Also worked moving stand, fronts and finishes, signals.
Jan 23 - Attention heeling in seminar building, few fronts, more attention heeling during am break, circles. Did some stationary attention while crowd was working.
Jan 22 - Attention heeling for each bite of dinner. Wanted more after dinner was all gone so did some left turns for treats.
Jan 21 - Experimented with heeling with treat stuffed squirrel - seemed to work well, but then later it didn't. Maybe because I didn't rev him up ahead of time. Tried obvious hot dogs then once or twice not obvious after revving him up - better. Tried food on stick too. Did attention heeling for each piece of dinner, working on automatic/muscle memory for right place and right attitude.
Jan 20 - Frequent attention heeling in house for jackpots, fronts with Lance box, some heeling turns, signals, one moving stand.
Jan 19 - Utility "runthrus" in house, used box for go backs, and Lance box for fronts - to jackpot. More attention work for jackpots later. Worked on trying to put him in drive first. Is moving feet on moving stand.
Jan 18 - Did a sort of Utility runthru in house before dinner - heeling, signals, moving stand, glove turns. Did it again in PM with added retrieves after turns, and go backs for one whole hotdog. No treats otherwise.
Jan 17 - San Jose. Did rally with Proxy first, then short warmup. Did well, tried hard but didn't do signal drop. Only lost 2 points otherwise, sigh. Worked some down/sit/down/sit signals, fronts and moving stand at home.
Jan 16 - San Jose. First trial - sorta spooked as judge moved to see front on first directed jumping so had a drive by. Kind of fast walked in on moving stand, tasted articles and had a bit of a spook there too (long time since he's been in a building), only one point off of heeling! 191 with 4 points off for driveby. Worked him before and after this run. 2nd trial - didn't do much warmup and played more. Seemed to try harder tho went left on first go back and still not brisk enough on moving stand. 193 with 3 points off for bad go back, one point heeling again. Worked on go backs and moving stand in lot in evening.
Jan 14 - heeling out front, inside fronts and finishes, signal drop behind rod, moving stand chase game.
Jan 13 - PetCo. Attention heeling, signals, moving stand. Home - fronts, fast turn & sits.
Jan 11 - Wendy. Attention heeling, moving stand, signals, fronts, agility, go backs, directed jumping.
Jan 10 - Prado. At the T pond, on collar. Singles on land and land/water to winger, working on him marking bird and not area. Did blinds off of area of marks, and passing bird blinds, as well as a small wagon wheel. Did some attention work for dinner.

Jan 8 - Heeling out front, moving stand, signals.
Jan 7 - Palm Springs match. Gave both Go Cookies and Go Dog before hand. Open - Bonnie called. Did rather well despite heat tho did need ear corrections for losing attention on heeling. Beautiful figure 8. Popped him one on butt on first left finish for doing a bit of a wander, ticked high jump on the way back, much less mouthing, almost all perfect fronts. Utility - Pat called. Did heeling first and last - much better attention, especially the first time. Otherwise just minor front and finishes off, execpt traveled on moving stand and kind of a slow signal drop. Worked a bunch of heeling in empty ring later.
Jan 6 - Fronts & finishes with Lance box. Did some attention heeling at Petco - he might be getting it.
Jan 5 - Norco. Judy called Utility. Needed to hold ear first half of heeling, then fine. Rest fine except some butt in finishes and #2 glove turn could have been better. Did a bit more heeling in and outside of ring. At home worked finishes with Lance box in front of mirror.
Jan 4 - Wendy. Directed jumping working on fast, tight turn and sit, moving stand, signals, #2 glove turn. Heeling for dinner bowl with corrections for any looking away. Did quite a bit of heeling while holding ear. Agility.
Jan 3 - WAGS. Utility run wasn't bad until articles - 1st one he took a tour of the back of the ring before going to the pile, probably because the pile was between the jumps. Slow turn and sits on go backs, under turned on glove #2, trotted in on moving stand and both articles, no mouthing, better fronts and finishes, decent-good heeling, solid signals. Put treats in bowl on chair before going in ring.
Jan 2 - WAGS. Very distracted as we went into the ring, finally figured out he was looking for the lure from yesterday's fun runs. Blew signal sit, and had drive by on first directed jumping. Walked in on moving stand and first article. Worked signals, moving stand and articles at site later, then heeling even later. More heeling at motel in parking lot and fronts in room. Did some heeling, signals and a moving stand for dinner.
Jan 1 - WAGS. Standard was a very nice run except I didn't support #8 enough so had a refusal. By Jumpers he was hot so it was clean but too slow. Fast was also slow, and I got lost, but managed to Q for 1st place and first NF leg. Worked heeling, signals, go backs, and moving stand near obedience rings in afternoon.
