2010 Back to 2009Sept 3 - Great Falls. Warmed up with stuffed duck under arm - blah and distracted. Took her out to potty and she pooped, then warmed up with Go Cookie - much better. However in the ring she was laggy and distracted, and didn't come all the way up on the finish. Won class with a 185, but blah! Sept 2 - Heeling on lead with toy under arm - reward - figure 8, stand for exam and more heeling on lead, then reward. Match - rather nice. Only had to correct on a couple of minor heeling issues. Didn't want to come all the way to front because she saw me throw the toy out of the ring - she only got the toy for a reward after the heel off. Nice finish. Stays were fine. Sept 1 - Off lead heeling starts, abouts and halts for bumper under arm in Cedar City rest area in am. Later at UT/ID border, off lead heeling and figure 8 with bumper - very nice. Still later at ID/MT border, more off lead heeling, figure 8 and stand for exam for bumper under arm.
 Aug 30 - Heartwell. Runthru with Carl calling, much better! Warmed up with bumper under arm and took it in the ring. Aug 28 - Gilroy match. Lack of training showed in sloppy heeling and lack of attention, particularly when off lead heeling with a dog in the next ring beside us. Nice recall, didn't do stays. Stopped in park in King City on way to Santa Barbara, did off lead heeling working on attention and turns. Did some more later at Jacks. Aug 25 - Yorba. Heeling on and off with toy under arm, recalls, extra finishes. Worked more heeling later, started with verbal praise then a goodly time quiet for a small jackpot. 1 more recall, extra finishes. Aug 11 - Front room - heeling turns, finishes, figure 8. Aug 8 - in season. Aug 7 - WLA match. Novice - lost focus just before first turn on lead so repeated, rest nice. Needed one reminder to get in on figure 8, stand fine, heel off lost focus on slow and after about, nice recall. Beg Novice - I need to practice with signs but otherwise did well. Aug 5 - Yorba. On & off lead heeling, figure 8, one recall. Did a little heeling with toy under arm and it was rather nice. Retrieve over high jump, retrieve on flat, broad, stays. Aug 2 - Wendy. "Runthru" next to tennis courts - some wide abouts and a couple of lapses of attention but otherwise nice. Articles, retrieve over high jump, retrieve on flat, broad, one drop on recall, one straight recall. Aug 1 - Inside - heeling starts and turns, fronts and finishes, signals, one stand for exam.
July 28 - Inside - heeling turns and starts, fronts, finishes, weaves, tire. Out front - heel off lead and figure 8. July 27 - Heeling out front, one recall. Inside - figure 8, finishes, weaves, tire, tire to weaves. July 18 - Tricities. Heel off lead working on attention near distractions and about turns, retrieve over high jump, recall, finishes, figure 8, broad - intro'd hand up signal. Went down on sit after a minute because she was hot from playing fetch and tug with Dodger. July 17 - Downey match. Needed a little help on figure 8 to begin hurry at right time, plus one off halt. Perfect stand for exam. Lost focus on one turn on heel off, nice recall, stays no problem. July 16 - Front room. Figure 8, recalls, heeling - didn't like going from cement to Pergo or cement to mat so had to work thru that. July 15 - Yorba. Heeling on lead, figure 8, left and about turns. July 14 - Heeling turns in front room, figure 8, fronts with rods. July 12 - Wendy. Heel on lead, weaves, jump sequences to bumper. Later, heel off lead and recalls. July 10 - SLO. Wagon wheel, overs and longish backs at site before set up. Novice - nice heel on lead, good figure 8, excellent stand for exam, heel off started wide and not focused but improved when I put my hand at my waist. Lovely front, distracted wide around. Stays just fine. July 8 - Moving attention out front, one recall, figure 8, signals, teeter, overs and wagon wheel out front. July 7 - Aframe out back. July 6 - Norco. Wagon wheel and two long backs. Heel off lead, fronts, finishes, recalls, on drop on recall, retrieve on flat, signals. At home worked whistle sits, figure 8 and weaves. July 5 - Tricities. Worked going into ring and setup with judge three times, figure 8, heel on lead around distractions, long go backs to white bumper in front of tree. July 4 - Figure 8, signals, fronts, finishes, one recall, attention with dropped kibble distraction. Prado - long water marks working on steady, one double. July 3 - articles, attention with dropped kibble distraction, front, finishes, one drop on recall, signals.
June 28 - in Missoula building, worked on attention and heeling starts, finishes. Did a little attention heeling in room later. June 26 - Great Falls building - heeling, signals. Missoula motel - fronts and finishes. June 25 - Great Falls building - heeling, fronts, finishes, signals. June 24 - Great Falls site - little attention/heeling, one front, couple finishes, started sit up.
 Proxy and Dodger hunting squirrels in a Montana rest stop June 20 - Oxnard match. Really nice run - lost attention but stayed in position when we passed a line of dogs doing stays in next ring (on lead) and once off lead but otherwise great attention and better work. Tried to cut down on chatter and only fed after each exercise. Great front, 1/2 point butt out finish. Stays were just fine, just had to tell her no sniff once on down. Glen was throwing a toy in the ring behind me but she ignored it. June 19 - Norco match. Some minor bumps and wides in heeling, mostly handler errors, plus a little forge on slow on lead. 1/2 point front, lovely finish. Very nice attention - had hot dogs and toy in ring. Stays nice despite much moving around of dogs and people. Agility - mostly re-acquainting her with the equipment. She also needs to work on looking ahead instead of wrapping back to me after each obstacle. Needed me to look thru chute before she would go thru it. Weaves pretty nice after two false starts. June 17 - Hartwell. Ann called heeling on and off lead, and one recall. Little forging, couple bumps and a 1/2 pt butt out finish - she said it looked like a 196. Did stays, sit fine, down she broke 2x because I was loading up the car. June 15 - Norco. Heeling, retrieve on flat, retrieve over high jump, broad. Prado - worked steady on collar. June 13 - OE match. Very nice attention on heel on lead, maybe a little forgey. Little distracted by cones on figure 8 but listened when I told her to get in on inside cone. Perfect stand for exam. On first forward off lead she just sat there so I went back and said Proxy heel and she was fine. Needed a little help but her heel off was almost as good as heel on. Perfect front, finish a little too far back. Worked more heeling on pinch around distractions - did well. June 9 - Heeling off lead out front, two recalls, informal down stay while I worked Dodger. June 5 - Heeling on lead at Bozeman site, one recall, finishes. Worked some steady on land on collar later. June 3 - Heeling on and off lead at rest area - pretty nice. Worked steady when we stopped for a swim. June 1 - Out front - off lead heeling (forging), figure 8 (wide), recalls, stand for exam, signals.
May 24 - fronts, finishes, a couple of recalls, signals and a little bit of moving attention inside. May 19 - fronts, finishes, signals and a little bit of moving attention inside.
Mar 22 - Little bit of moving attention, few fronts and finishes. Mar 17 - Out front - heeling, recalls, signals. Inside - glove, tire, weaves, random drops, retrieve on flat. Mar 15 - Fronts, finishes, heeling starts, signals.
Feb 4 - Couple fronts and finishes in vets office.
